Austrian tanks for the world
With an export ratio of almost 100%, GLS Tanks International GmbH is one of only four highly specialised companies worldwide fusing glass to steel and using this material to build steel tanks, containers and Silos. Glass-lined steel (GLS) tanks are used in all four corners of the world – one has even been installed in New Caledonia, and projects are also planned for Iran and Cuba.

Construction of Galala City and New Cairo City is currently underway, with the latter due to become Egypt’s new capital. Several large tanks are to be built in the country, each with a diameter of 56m and a height of 8.7m.Fermenters, tanks for sewage treatment plants, silos, and water tanks for industrial, municipal and agricultural applications are the mainstay of this internationally successful firm’s business. Manufacturing is carried out in Austria by a workforce that varies between about 70 to 90 employees, and EUR 1.5 million has recently been invested in new machinery and a factory building. Over the last couple of years, the company has consistently achieved a turnover of some EUR 12-15 million.
