The secret to why drawers, doors and pull-outs function smoothly lies in the innovation talent of the Vorarlberg company, Blum.

Julius Blum GmbH, founded by Julius Blum in 1952 and headquartered in Höchst in Vorarlberg, is today an international company, producing hinge systems, lift systems and pull-out systems, as well as assembly devices. These are sold to furniture manufacturers (industry) or hardware distributors (tradesmen).

Traditional kitchen manufacturers supply the fronts and cabinets of a kitchen. The interior fittings, and with them the technology, are supplied by Blum. Innovation, investment, internationalisation and integration of staff have made Blum the world's number one. Blum employs almost 4,000 people in Vorarlberg alone. Revenues in the last financial year were EUR 1.1 bn, 97% of which was from exports.
