Fussenegger: blankets, cushions and kimonos - everyday textiles with style
178 years of tradition and experience combined with cutting-edge design have made Vorarlberg company David Fussenegger into an international lifestyle brand.
Now in the sixth generation, the long established Vorarlberg company, David Fussenegger Textil GesmbH , is still run by the family from Dornbirn. The focus of the firm is processing cotton and has been since 1832. In the meantime Fussenegger has become an international lifestyle brand.
The in-house, computer-assisted design department and cutting-edge electronic machinery today provide the basis for efficient, top quality production. Summer and winter blankets, home furnishings, cushions, warming cushions, sleeping bags and kimonos are just some of the products in the range – all certified to Ökotex Standard 100 . Since autumn 2009 the company has also had some of its products certified to the internationally recognised organic label GOTS . For this, both the company and the product have to meet stringent requirements regarding ecological and sociological aspects.
The company enjoyed success even in the crisis year of 2009. Exports account for 70% and the company exports to 40 countries worldwide. The company employs 35 staff and generates turnover of around EUR 4 million.
