ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA congratulates this year’s winners of the National Energy Globe Award Jordan

This year's National Winner of the Energy Globe Award in Jordan uses manure for the production of biogas, benefiting the environment, human health and the economic situation of farmers. The award was handed to the winners during a special ceremony that was organized by Advantage Austrian in Amman. In addition to the staff of Advantage Austria, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Omar Abu Eid ( the manager of EU’s energy, environment and climate change programme), Mr. Rasmi Hamzeh (the director of Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund), Ms. Ruba Al-Zu'bi (the CEO of EDAMA Association for Energy, Water & Environment) and representatives from the Jordanian press.

With more than 170 participating countries and over 1500 project submissions annually the Energy Globe Award is today's most prestigious environmental prize worldwide. It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. Prominent personalities as well as Energy Globe Ambassadors in 90 countries support the mission of Energy Globe. The activities of Energy Globe attract worldwide media attention - international TV stations report each year with approximately 1,000 hours of broadcasting time.
