Austria's top 10 brand corporations 2015

Energy drink manufacturer Red Bull remains Austria's most valuable brand corporation by a significant margin. The strongest growth was achieved by Novomatic, ÖBB and Erste Bank. VIG and XXXLutz climbed into the Top 10 for the first time.

The European Brand Institute evaluates the country's most valuable brands every year. The Top 10 in the Austrian brand value study, "eurobrand Austria 2015" represented brand value totalling around EUR 31.7 bn.

With a brand value of EUR 14.8 bn, Red Bull remains unchallenged at the top of the latest ranking. In second place by a considerable margin is the Tyrolean crystal producer Swarovski , whose brand is worth EUR 3.3 bn. Gaming group Novomatic  came third, achieving an 8% rise in value to EUR 2.8 bn and thereby giving Novomatic the strongest growth of any brand.

Retail giant SPAR successfully claimed fourth place with a brand value of EUR 2.1 bn, followed by Raiffeisen , the Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) , the Erste Bank Group and the oil and gas company OMV . Insurance firm Vienna Insurance Group-VIG (EUR 1.1 bn) and furniture retailer XXX Lutz (EUR 832 mn) made the Top 10 for the first time.

The Austrian brand value study "eurobrand Austria" is already in its 12th year. Of the 500 largest companies in Austria measured by revenue, the study examines the brands which are at least 45% Austrian-owned. They are analysed and evaluated using the following criteria: industry sector, brand strength, growth trends, brand potential and revenue.
