2012 Export Awards: Austria's best exporters

Alongside the fact that Austrian exports last year reached an all-time high of EUR 122 billion (+11.7%), the country’s largest export information event held on 21st June was also a great success with around 2,500 visitors.

The crowning glory was the evening gala in MuseumsQuartier, Vienna, where the export awards were presented. Once a year, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, part of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, gets the opportunity to reward Austrian export companies for their outstanding dedication and success on international markets. The prizes were awarded in the following categories, with “Transport and Traffic” included for the first time:

The ”Global Player Award 2012” went to technology group and plant engineer Andritz AG , with recognition awards going to Novomatic AG and Porsche Holding GmbH .

The “Expat-Award 2012” went to Gerald Sakuler, Head of BENE in Russia.
