Fancy being your own boss? Franchise Exhibition 2016! 4-5 November 2016 in Vienna, Austria

16. September 2016

Franchising is an extremely attractive alternative to self-employment, and the Austrian Franchise Exhibition is set to be the year’s leading franchising event for the German-speaking countries. National and international franchise models from a wide range of industries will be making presentations for two whole days.

The Wiener Stadthalle venue will be taken over by all things franchising from 4-5 November 2016. The exhibition is aimed both at the franchising community and those considering self-employment.

Big-name exhibitors will be on site to present their exciting franchising concepts first hand. Firms attending include Austrian bodywork experts Lucky Car and the 24-hour care company AIS, as well as international brands like Bang & Olufsen, TeeGeschwendtner, MailBoxes Etc., Backwerk, Subway, ReMax and Bodystreet.

Presentations for potential franchisees and talks for companies hoping to expand through franchising will round off the exhibition programme.

Franchising is a growing trend both in Austria and around the world, with more and more people looking towards self-employment as a response to testing economic conditions and an uncertain employment market. According to figures from the Austrian Franchise Association (ÖFV), some 463 franchising models currently contribute EUR 8.8 million net to the Austrian economy, with 9,723 franchisees operating at 9,723 locations.

By far the majority of franchise businesses are in the trade sector, followed by services, food and drink, and manufacturing.
