Nanotechnology is found in applications ranging from micro- & nanoelectronics and industrial sensors to biomolecular diagnostics in medicine.

The NANOSENS 2010 will be held on 2nd and 3rd December 2010 at the Tech Gate Vienna. „Heterogeneous Integration“ is this year’s conference main topic: New components from nano- and biotechnology are applied to integrate additional functionalities into microelectronic chips. This enables the realization of entirely new devices and products, offering tremendous economic opportunities for Europe‘s industry.

About 150 participants from the science and industry sector will discuss economic opportunities and perspectives of nanotechnology at the NANOSENS 2010. The wide range of participating companies such as austriamicrosystems AG, Infineon Technologies AG, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum and Carl Zeiss SMT AG demonstrates the high industrial relevance of nanotechnology.

The NANOSENS 2010 is organized by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology – Health & Environment Department and supported by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Austrian Business Agency (ABA) and the Association of the Austrian Electrical and Electronics Industries (FEEI).

More information on the conference as well as registration, programme and hotel accommodation can be found on the event website: www.nanosens.at .
