Austrian “Kohlbach” boiler installed in Bauska

In Bauska on June 10th, “Bauskas siltums“ has solemnly opened the installed Austrian “Kohlbach” woodchip boilers and chip-making unit, which is the conclusion of the heat house reconstruction.

In 2014, the Bauska District Council decided on the reconstruction of the boiler room and woodchip heating system. In 2015, “Bauskas siltums” was briefed on the Structural Fund’s supported project "Heating efficiency in Bauska " concerning the development process and signed an agreement with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency on co-financing from the European Union Cohesion Fund. In September 2015 the Bauska District Council approved the guarantee for all the costs for the boiler house reconstruction. 

The Austrian company Kohlbach manufactures biomass energy systems for the international market and offers a complete range of flexible industrial heat applications. Since 1959, the systems have been exported to countries all over the world, and only in the last few years, more than 1500 “Kohlbach” plants have been commissioned in 23 countries. In Latvia, “Kohlbach” is represented by the Latvian company UPB Energy
