The brewery “Valmiermuizas alus” expands the soft drink segment

“Valmiermuižas alus” continues to invest in new product development for both beer and soft drink segment, offering also seltzer and ice tea.

Last year, the brewery has invested 1.2 million euros in the porter and in the soft drink production development. The largest investments were related to the porter production development, the other important investment was the bottling plant for “Gardu muti” seltzer, soft drinks from quince and cowberries. This year has started successfully for Valmiermuizas alus seltzer and it is available in Latvian hypermarkets, restaurants and bars. The brewery recently started to produce seltzer from chokeberry and is currently developing soft drinks from raspberries, cranberries and blueberries. As well “Valmiermuizas alus” started to produce ice tea from Latvian teas and apples. 

"Valmiermuizas alus" is a small brewery located in an estate near Valmiera and started business in 2009. 100% of the "Valmiermuizas alus" shares belong to "Valmiermuizas ieguldijumu fonds". 24% of the "Valmiermuizas ieguldijumu fonds" shares belong to the Austrian investment fund “Industrieliegenschaftenverwaltungs” AG (ILAG), and 16% — to the Austrian company “Alcor”.
