When Austrians say ketchup, they say Felix – but the company from Burgenland has more than "just" tomato sauce to offer.

Founded in 1959 in Mattersburg/Burgenland, the Austrian company Felix Austria (in German), which is now part of the Norwegian Orkla Group, does not only have a successful past to look back on.

Felix is currently the undisputed market leader in Austria for ketchup and sugo pasta sauce (with market shares of 60% and 40% respectively). Austria is not, however, the only mainstay: with export increases of 20%, foreign business promises to be the company's future. Exports currently account for 15% of revenues, which certainly provide a basis for expansion. Felix Austria forecasts revenues of EUR 37 million for this year.

Felix produces around 20,000 tonnes of different products each year - in addition to ketchup, the product range includes soups, various pre-prepared meals, relishes, barbecue sauces, pasta sauces and pickled vegetables such as gherkins and baby sweetcorn.
