Since 1994 the Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian Ministry of Economics have been awarding "Export prizes" to Austria's most successful export firms. A special prize, the "go- international Award 2009", went to Doka GmbH from Lower Austria.

The "go-iInternational Award 2009" went to Doka GmbH from Amstetten in Lower Austria. In the last business year the Doka Group continued their well-established success story, increasing revenues by 10% to EUR 923 million. The number of staff also rose by 10% to a total of over 5,800. With around 150 branches in 67 countries, Doka is represented across the globe.

Doka was founded in 1958 and is part of the Umdasch Group , which generated a turnover of EUR 1.2 billion in 2008 and dates back 140 years. The name "Doka" originates from the Danube power plant (in German "Donaukraftwerk", DOKW) at Ybbs-Persenbeug, for which formwork sheets known as "Doka sheets" were produced. Doka today is more than 'just' a formwork supplier and can be found at all major building sites across the world, such as:

  • Challenging bridge construction projects
  • The world's tallest building, situated in Dubai
  • The Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa; constructed in record time, where the final of the 2010 Football World Cup will be held.

Following on from  Swarovski and Engel Austria GmbH , Doka is the third company to receive the special "go-international Award".
