Austrian Exports to Malaysia Booming 29. May 2009

Austrian exports to Malaysia continued to boom in 2008 and reached a new record of 324,68 million Euro. Austrian Trade is very happy that Austrian products are so well received in Malaysia.

Austrian exports to Malaysia increased by 21,15% to a new record of 324,68 million Euro in 2008. This performance is in so far remarkable as worldwide exports of Austrian companies rose only by 2,31% in the very difficult economic situation starting last year. Major export products are electrical and electronic components, telecommunication equipments, machinery, paper, metal products, measuring equipments, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Austrian Trade hopes that this so excellent trend will continue also 2009.
