Tridonic.Atco - an Austrian company in Johor Bahru 27. March 2008

Austrian lighting technology is well known and so is  Tridonic.Atco, part of the Zumtobel Group. Their equipments can be found in many prestigious building also in Malaysia, as in the Petronas Twin Towers. Austrian Trade recently visited the company in Johor and could experience Tridonic.Arco's expertise first hand.

Tridonic.Atco (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was established 5 years ago (10^th June 2002) in a sub-urban town called Ulu Tiram (Desa Cemerlang), in the state of Negeri Johor, Malaysia. Its core business of product is Ballast and Transformer, currently there are 140 employees under its operation. 

 

The Company main focus revolves in magnetic ballast (or chokes) and transformer, the operation is predominantly export orientated, which major customer comes from Asia Pac (Asean, China abd South Korea), Middle East, Oceania and Europe. We offer a wide range of ballast such as :
a)       Magnetic Transformer: For low voltage halogen lamps
b)       Magnetic Control Gear: For high pressure discharge lamps (from 35 to 2000 Watt)
c)       Magnetic Control Gear: For high pressure discharge lamps 

Tridonic.Atco (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, part of TridonicAtco is listed under The Zumtobel Group in Austrian Stock Exchange, based in Dornbirn in the Vorarlberg region of Austria. The Group, which started life as “Elektrogeräte und Kunstharzpresswerk W. Zumtobel KG” in 1950, today offers a full-line range of integral professional lighting solutions, luminaires, light management systems and lighting components for indoor and outdoor applications.

The brand is constantly striving to raise the quality bar even higher – not least by investing in the latest electronics production technologies, focusing its magnetic ballasts activities at the Fürstenfeld plant and production of electronic ballasts in Dornbirn in Austria, implementing comprehensive Six Sigma programmes all over the world. More recently, this components manufacturer has been able to expand its innovative capabilities in the field of LEDs in particular.
