The listed Kapsch Group is set for further growth in the coming years. International projects and large-scale orders should ensure that the high-performance business in toll systems and traffic telematics is given an extra boost.

Despite the challenging economic backdrop, Kapsch TrafficCom , listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, further expanded its strong market position in almost every market in the last financial year. The toll-system specialist managed to increase total revenues by 8% to EUR 216 million in the financial year 2009/10.

Over the past 20 years Kapsch TrafficCom has developed into a specialist in innovative, intelligent traffic telematics solutions. The Austrian company is now one of the world’s leading providers of electronic toll systems. Having supplied around 18 million on-board units and equipped almost 13,000 toll lanes in 38 countries, the company is exceptionally well positioned on the international market. This is also reflected in the subsidiaries and representative offices spread across 25 countries.

As regards the outlook for the coming business year, Kapsch TrafficCom predicts positive developments in the long term. Key factors in the coming year include the realisation of a multi-million project in South Africa as well as participating in tenders and project awards in France, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Denmark. The company is also optimistic about projects on the US market, which is set to standardise all of its toll systems in the future.
