Austrian company honours innovation in agricultural technology.

Pöttinger, the agricultural machine manufacturer, has been awarding the Pöttinger Prize since 1984. The prize honours innovative ideas and solutions in agricultural technology, particularly in the fields of tillage, seeding, forage harvesting, control technology and mechatronics.

The winning entry will receive 10,000 Euro (approx. 17,400 New Zealand dollars) and the next three entries will each receive 1,000 Euro (approx. 1,740 New Zealand dollars) in recognition of their outstanding technology. Prizes will be awarded at AGRITECHNICA in Hannover, Germany on 8 November 2005.
