Austrian State Secretary discusses possibe cooperations with Saudi officials

Austrian State Secretary for Sports, Dr. Reinhold Lopatka, arrived Oct. 11th 2008 for a 4 day visit in Riyadh.

The first day commercial interests dominated and the State Secretary has been at various outlets of Austrian companies, such as KIKA or Steyr Trucks, followed by a meeting with Mr. Moaji, Vice President of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, and an evening reception at the Austrian Commercial Counselor's residence to join Austrian businessmen.

The program of the remaining days included visits to Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Hospital for Sports Medicine, the Olympic Compound, King Fahad Stadion, meetings with H.R.H. Prince Sultan Bin Fahad, President of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare, H.R.H. Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh and other officials to discuss possible cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports.

Dr. Lopatka stressed to wide possibilities in the field of training facilities for sports clubs, especially for football teams, since many European major clubs such as AS Roma, Arsenal or Real Madrid hold their annual training camps in Austria.
