Austrian Health Delegation

End of January the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber together with the Commercial Section of the Asutrian Embassy organized a 1 week tour through the GCC countries for a 15 member strong delegation, consisting of Doctors, Hospital Management, Air Ambulance and other service providers in the Health Sector.

The first stop was Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where a visit at the Ministry of Health was followed by a presentation at the Al Mishari Hospital. The Austrian Group was looking for possible ways of cooperation and promoted Austria as a perfect destination for Saudi patients and wellness-seekers due to the clean environment, the large number of mountains and crystal clear lakes and especially the available high quality of health care in general and in specialized fields.

The delegation was impressed by the high standard of the hospitals here in Saudi Arabia and highly appreciated the warm welcome to the Kingdom. The members of the group were very positive about their visit and all expect to benefit from this fact-finding mission. The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber plans to bring now a group of Saudi experts to Austria to further deepen this new relation and to present the Austrian health care system to Saudi decision makers.
