Under the umbrella of IFN (International Window Network), seven window and door companies from Upper Austria currently operate throughout the whole of Europe - and with great success.

It all started with a one-man outfit in 1931 in Linz. That is when Eduard Klinger sen. set up a construction metalworking shop, laying the headstone for today's internationally successful company, IFN-Holding headquartered in Traun (Upper Austria). Under the umbrella of the Internationalen Fensternetzwerk Holding IFN, seven window and door companies (Internorm , Topic , Novoferm Fenster (in German) , GIG Fassadenbau , Actual Fenstertechnik , HSF (in German) and Schlotterer (in German) ) operate with a total of almost 2,000 staff. Together with around 1000 partners, IFN is represented in 15 countries and has a leading market position in Europe.

The product range includes windows, front doors, facades and sun protection. The strength of IFN lies in its individual solutions for customers. With a wide palette of materials and systems, the individual needs of the customer can always be optimally realised. In 2008 the company is aiming to increase last year's revenues of EUR 267 million to EUR 400 million. The success of IFN can mainly be attributed to a strong focus on exports.
