Ski area Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang now even connected with Fieberbrunn

As Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang in Salzburg and Fieberbrunn in Tyrol are growing together, one of the largest ski areas will open in December 2015. The area includes a total of 270 km of slopes and 70 cable cars and lifts. The link’s construction project was known as “TirolS - 2 states, one lift”. In total more than EUR 390 million were invested in modernizing and improving comfort for the entire ski resort. The expansion combines the individual strengths and the guests of both regions will have mutual access to the internationally highly regarded Fieberbrunn freeride area and the floodlit pistes and snowparks at Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang. The immense ski resort offers perfect settings for activities like skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, winter walking or cross country skiing.

The winter season 2015/16 kicks off this weekend. The 10-seater gondola lift by the company Doppelmayr that links Salzburg and Tyrol will be officially opened on Friday, 4th December.
