InnoTrans 2016 – Austria focuses on the future of the Nordic railways

23. September 2016

Nordic countries about to boost railway construction - Austria offers attractive partners

This year’s international trade fair for transportation technology and railway infrastructure comprised the amazing number of 88 Austrian exhibitors, specializing in various railway related technologies and products. The Advantage Austria offices in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen organized a Nordic hour at the Innotrans 2016 where Nordic transport authorities presented their future visions and investment plans for Austrian companies. The most prominent projects in the Nordics represent an investment volume of around 50bn Euros.  The interest in Austrian know-how is obvious, as numerous industry specialists from the Nordics participated in the event. The Danish engineering office NIRAS, a big player in Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as the biggest independent railway builder, Strukton Rail, from Sweden participated and shared useful insider knowledge with the Austrian participants.

After this intensive event everyone chilled at the elegant Advantage Austria booth, which offered great opportunities for productive B2B-talks.

The Advantage Austria offices in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen are already planning further events on the topics due to the positive feedback and the success of the event.
