Scholarships for intensive language courses

21. March 2016

Scholarships for intensive language courses in business German and German business culture – organized by Stiftelsen Svensk-tyska Språkfonden (Foundation Swedish-German Language Fund).

The Foundation was established in 1987 by assignment of the Swedish government to meet the need for improved German language knowledge in Swedish business relations.

Scholarships are granted to employees within industry and commerce to promote the social economically very important business relations with Sweden’s most important business partner Germany. Persons that actively work with countries where German is the language and who are employed at a Swedish export-/import company, or who are working with another commercial activity where the German language is of decisive importance, can apply for a scholarship.

The Swedish-German Language Fund is managed by a board that is nominated by:

  • The Swedish Foreign Department
  • Business Sweden (a fusion of the Swedish Trade Council and Invest Sweden)
  • The German Embassy
  • The German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

The board is nominated in collaboration with the Swedish industry and Swedish commerce.

Every year about 60 scholarships are granted.

Since its foundation more than 3.000 persons have taken part in our language courses and were very satisfied with the results.
