10 years MODULAR Hallensysteme in Slovakia

12. April 2017

MODULAR Hallensysteme GmbH is not only celebrating its 15th anniversary and the 10th anniversary with the factory in Slovakia but also the company's largest order for the construction of the halls for one of the biggest manufacturer of mobile wind power plants Country.

The company founded by Reinhold Kammerer 15 years ago is specialized in the construction of lightweight construction halls for various applications. "From the planning and visualization to the technical and / or static calculation, the production and assembly of the textile-covered halls, you get everything from a single source," emphasize the two managing directors Reinhold Kammerer and Uwe Szekely. "Our team supports technical and economic consulting in the planning of the premium halls".

The great know-how and also the European-wide references (see under were decisive for the award for the biggest order in the 15-year company history.

For a company based in Germany, a concept was developed that incorporates and covers a mobile concrete factory with 4 halls and a total area of 10,000 m². The first test run will take place in Bavaria in April 2017.

In the MODULAR halls, future towers for wind turbines will be produced. What is special about this is the mobility of the entire factory. All components have been designed for a container transfer in modular design and thus enable the mobility of the entire system.

"German know-how in the field of renewable energy is therefore explained by modular design from Austria mobile for the world market" Reinhold Kammerer explains.

The first production site of the modular concrete factory for around 100 windtowers is located in Thailand, commissioning is planned for 2018. The now 15-year-old competence of MODULAR from the Innviertel is also used in the dismantling and construction concept. This flexibility not only saves resources, but also a significant saving factor for the production company.

Since the subsidiary was established in Slovakia, Modular also has the entire production chain of the halls in its own hands and can thus guarantee the highest quality standard with around 100 employees in the two companies. The 10th anniversary was, of course, celebrated in Slovakia with employees, suppliers, partners and representatives from regional and supraregional politics.

The constant further development of the company also increases the demands on our employees and specialists in the company. "Our company is constantly growing, so we have also devoted a great deal of time to basic and advanced training," says Uwe Szekely, "but we are always looking for competent employees to strengthen our team," he says, calling on potentially interested specialists to understand.

Approximately 750 halls with a roofed total area of around 500,000 m² have been sold by Modular over the last 15 years and built with their own assembly team. The foil area of more than 1 million m² processed here corresponds to an area of approximately 140 football fields. The fact that more than 10,000 tons of steel have been processed for this purpose is all the more impressive. "The current order volume reflects the competence and many years of experience of the company MODULAR and contributes to future large areas economically and, above all, needs-oriented to roofing" sees Reinhold Kammerer positively into the future.
