A View From Vienna 

AmSECC and the Austrian Consulate General in Chicago present a discussion of current political events, economic challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe (SEE).

Partner organizations: Austrian Trade Commission & Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce

Purpose of event: This event discusses entrepreneurship in SEE from the perspective of Austria as a member state of the European Union (EU) with significant private sector economic interests in the region.
In the context of an expanding EU, the Honorable Thomas Schnoell, Consul General of Austria in Chicago, will examine the status of various countries in the EU integration process. He will also highlight political and economic opportunities and challenges from the perspective of the EU as a whole and Austria in particular.
Dr. David Pistrui, Managing Director of Acumen Dynamics, LLC, will discuss entrepreneurship across SEE. He will expand on market data, discuss case examples and analysis to provide insights into the opportunities and challenges confronting entrepreneurship, policy and geopolitical stability across the region in 2011 and beyond.
