The Austrian Trade Commission Chicago in cooperation with the Austrian Trade Commission Toronto is in the process of planning a Trade Mission to the Southeastern United States ( North Carolina , South Carolina , and Georgia ) and Toronto region with a focus on automotive suppliers and manufacturers.
 
The weeklong program will start on Sunday, October 5, 2008 with a welcome reception in Toronto . Two days of company visits (Magna International, Toyota, Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association, and more) in the Toronto area and then on Tuesday, October 7 th the group will fly to Charlotte, North Carolina.

On Wednesday, October 8 th the group will meet with representatives from North Carolina and also visit BMW’s U.S. plant in Spartanburg , South Carolina . On Thursday, the group will then visit companies in South Carolina , including Robert Bosch and Clemson University ’s ICAR ( International Center for Automotive Research).

In the evening the group will then travel to Atlanta Georgia where there will be a visit to an automotive supplier on Friday morning, followed by a luncheon reception with Austria ’s Honorary Consul along with representatives from the state of Georgia and the city of Atlanta .

The group will then return to Austria on Friday evening.
