Austrian Business Event in Washington, DC

Most US economists seem unanimous about the risk of recession in the country’s economy and further weakening of the US dollar in 2008. It remains to be seen, however, whether and to what extent it will slow down foreign (incl. Austrian) investments. Given the expected downturn of the U.S. economy and a very strong Euro some fear the year might prove challenging to Austrian investors and US partners of Austrian companies.

The Austrian Trade Commissions in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York are organizing a forum for an exchange of ideas and experiences between Austrian companies and their partners in the US. A group of renowned financial, legal, economic experts and consultants will give presentations and will answer some of the most frequently asked questions.

The event will take place from September 25 to 27, in Washington, DC. The meeting in Washington DC shall provide quick updates on important issues and a long absent platform for all those involved in the operation of Austrian subsidiaries in the US to meet, share experience and knowledge and learn from each other. The event is made possible by the hospitality of the Austrian Embassy in Washington, DC, and generous financial contributions from Austrian Airlines, Bank Austria, Erste Bank and RZB Finance.

Registration Fee:

„Early Bird“ registration fee until July 11, 2008 is $100 per participant; registration fee after July 11 is $150 per person .
