Three Austrian Companies exhibited at the “International Home and Housewares Show 2010” in Chicago

Even with Austria not being a big producer of house ware goods anymore, Austrian companies are still big players in selected niches. At the 2010 Chicago Home and Housewares Show, three Austrian companies exhibited their products to the US market. Riedel, iSi and Casa Si, are introducing new products and innovations to buyers and hope to extend their footprint in the US.

Riedel – the wine glass company
Tradition and innovation - the Riedel Company can proudly look back on its 250-year success story. From its beginnings in northern Bohemia down to this day, for 11 generations (for now) Riedel Glass has stood for the high art of glassmaking.
Riedel is always looking for new markets. In 2007, Riedel Crystal teamed up with Celebrity Cruises® to offer guests a unique and authentic experience –the Riedel Comparative Wine Glass Workshop.

Isi – Isi Culinary
Isi has exhibited at the International Home and Housewares Show for the last 30 years. Since the launch of their US subsidiary in 1977, iSi North America continues to charge the way as an innovator in kitchen tools and products with the addition of their silicone-based Basics line. Almost 200 years ago in Vienna, iSi started with carbonating water and we continue this tradition today with our iSi Soda Siphons and Soda Chargers.
Their advertisement slogan is that simple whipped cream to complex, sweet and savory foams, and everything in between, the iSi System of whippers and soda siphons, allows achieving pure flavor in endlessly creative ways. Crafted with exceptional quality, the innovative products have become essential tools for both the home and professional kitchen.

Casa Si –una bella idea
Casa Si exhibited for the first time at the International Home and Housewares Show . Casa Si wants to introduce their products to the U.S. market. Casa Si designs and develops a wide range of household and Do-it-yourself “DIY” products for the everyday use. The products range from ironing boards, stepping stools, (step)-ladders, racks to dry clothes, cooking-pots and pans and dustbins. Casa Si wants to create a pleasant housekeeping experience for their customers by offering functionality and elegance at the same time.
