Marzek-Etiketten looks for continued opportunities for growth

According to an article in the March 2009 edition of Labels & Labeling magazine, family-owned Marzek-Etiketten , founded in 1879, was the first to introduce pressure-sensitive labels in Austria and has never looked back. As Austria’s largest label printer, Marzek employs 360 people in two plants in Austria and Hungary. The company is located in the Lower Austrian town of Traiskirchen and looks to Central and Eastern Europe for continued growth opportunities.

Marzek is specialized in wine labels, which account for 20 percent of its business. 70 percent of of all Austrian winemakers do business with the firm. Marzek has developed a patented multi-function “Wine Card,” which is a label, business card and reusable wine pourer.
