Austrian ZF Steyr produces transmissions on behalf of agricultural machinery producer CNH

Jointly developed transmission to be used in “Steyr Multi”

Following the joint development of a transmission for a new compact tractor, ZF Steyr was also contracted by CNH to commence production. ZF Steyr will produce transmissions for the new compactor tractor “Steyr Multi” on behalf of CNH. The agricultural vehicle was developed by the CNH/Steyr research center in St. Valentin, Austria in cooperation with technicians from ZF Steyr. ZF is one of the world’s leading automobile component suppliers in the field of drive and chassis technologies. ZF Steyr is part of ZF Passau, and produces, among other things, transmission components for construction machines and trucks as well as tractor transmissions. CNH is the world’s second largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery. The brands of the company owned by the Fiat Group include Case IH, Steyr and New Holland. 650 employees work for CNH at the Austrian site in St. Valentin, which also serves as the European headquarters.
