Pewag Grand Opening Ceremony of New U.S. Headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois

 The World’s Strongest Chain celebrated the opening of their new facility on June 5, 2009 

The Austrian Consul General in Chicago, Dr. Robert Zischg, Sabine Miller of the Austrian Trade Commission in Chicago and more than 100 guests followed Pewag’s invitation to be part of the grand opening of their new U.S. headquarters in Bolingbrook, 30 miles southwest of Chicago. Previously located in Burr Ridge, IL, the company decided to move to this new site for several reasons. “We chose Bolingbrook for its excellent infrastructure, availability of suitable buildings and the business-friendly climate”, said Pewag USA President Michael Uhrenbacher.

The ribbon-cutting was performed by Pewag CEO Ägyd Pengg from Austria, Michael Uhrenbacher, Consul General Robert Zischg, Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar, Will County Executive Larry Walsh and Alyssia Lee, President of the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce. As a token of appreciation for the Village of Bolingbrook, Pewag presented the Bolingbrook Fire and Police Departments with two sets of snow chains for their vehicles.
