webLyzard helps to make the issue of climate change more accessible

The Climate Initiative launched by the US government uses web technology by the Austrian Start-up webLyzard. This new internet platform creates a comprehensive knowledge base open to all US citizens. The project is based on the efforts of the US government to make the issue of climate change more accessible to the American public than is currently the case.

The initiative, called „Climate Resilience Toolkit”, connects governmental organizations with findings of regional climate centers. Besides clearly arranged climate news from different online sources, the user is able to attain a good impression of scientific connections through interactive visualization. The initiative is led by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which has relied on webLyzard more than six years. The most important features during the development-process of the site were its user-friendliness and transparency.
