The fear from the financial crisis can also be felt in Austria . Thousands of jobs are in jeopardy and hundreds of companies are at risk of bankruptcy. Will Austria enter in recession?
Confident young enterprises that believe in their products and ideas are resistant to the crisis and celebrate their commercial success. On November 3 rd , the Austrian business Magazine “GEWINN” announced their yearly winners in 5 important categories: Hightech, IT/E-Commerce, Exports, Environment and Idea of the Year. The winners of each of these categories are:
Hightech: FerRobotics – who have been able to place themselves in a world leading position producing highly sensitive pneumatic robots, capable of emulating human movement.
IT/E-Commerce: Microtronics Engineering – This company manufactures measuring and data recollection systems mainly used in water treatment. Their system allows data transmission via mobile phone or internet to a central database.
Export: Motion06 Engineering – specialized in airport conveyor systems. As a component provider this company has achieved an export quota of 80% since 2006.

The Austrian Trade Commission in Caracas will make their best effort to have these new companies actively participate in our “Fact finding Mission” during which companies in Venezuela and Colombia will be visited to establish new business relationships, planned for September 7 th to 10 th 2009. Our goal is to offer these new technologies to all our partners in Latin America .
