Success of Commercial Delegation in Venezuela

Secretary of State from the Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, Mrs. Christa Kranzl, accompanied by important Austrian companies visited Venezuela
Venezuela is in the process of updating and expanding its infrastructure in sectors like transportation and health care with income stemming from oil exports. Over 1 Mrd. USD of the budget designated for infrastructure projects could flow to Austrian partners. That was the conclusion drawn at the end of the official visit of Secretary of State Mrs. Christa Kranzl and of an important commercial delegation to Venezuela .
The Austrian company ANDRITZ was very successful in its endeavors to advance negotiations on the construction of a pulp and paper plant as well as company VAE, which envisages a project on railroad switches. VAMED presented its detailed plans for the construction of 3 hospitals and SIEMENS VAI is negotiating plans for the construction of a steel mill.
