Time: 8:00 for 8:30-10:30 (followed by breakfast)

Venue: GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science), Classroom 9, 26 Melville Road, Illovo

The Danube is more than a river in Central and Eastern Europe, the second longest in the region stretching 2,778 km from its source in Germany to its delta at the Black Sea. It is more than a line on a map and a political boundary for ten countries with vastly different political, economic and historical contexts. It is an immense river basin with over 80 million people and a collective GDP of US $4,779 billion. With vast economic potential and business opportunities, the Danube’s dynamic market is still largely unknown in South Africa.

The Centre for Dynamic Market (CDM) will host representatives of the three Danube countries - Austria, Slovakia and Croatia - to present the key facts of their respective economies as well as concrete business opportunities potentially appealing to entrepreneurs in South Africa and beyond.

Panelist include:
- Mrs. Edith Predorf, Austrian Trade Commission
- Ms. Maja Frankovic, Embassy of the Republic of Croatia
- Mrs. Katarina Kralikova, Embassy of the Slovak Republic
