Doppelmayr provides the link between a hotel and a casino in Macau

4. October 2016

The latest attraction on China’s ‘Pleasure Island’ comes from Austria: guests will be travelling to the imposing Casino und Hotel Wynn Palace on a ropeway.

The new, luxurious Casino Resort Wynn Palace sets new standards in comfort, even for the high-rolling gambling paradise of Macau – and it has been matching these with technical innovations: a ropeway will now be bringing guest to the casino and hotel, and this highlight is all the work of the Austrian Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group

A gondola lift with 6-passenger cabins is set to bring guests into the heart of the Wynn Resort. The route travels round the 3.25 hectare lake beside the Wynn Palace and features breathtaking fountain displays. The music accompanying the displays is piped directly into the ropeway cabins suspended up to 30 m in the air, from which there is a fantastic view. The cabins are also equipped with air-conditioning, LED night illumination, a communications system and CCTV monitoring. Particular highlights include the twin ‘Dragon Towers’ – the golden dragons supporting the ropeway are supposed to bring luck.

Doppelmayr/Garaventa, the market leader for quality and technology in ropeway manufacture, has production facilities and sales offices in 40 states, and to date has installed more than 14,700 cable car systems in 90 countries. Doppelmayr/Garaventa is constantly setting new standards in manufacturing with its innovative transport systems in summer and winter tourism areas and local metropolitan passenger traffic alike. The company’s materials transport systems and cable cars for preventative avalanche management are similarly making an impression all over the world.
