In view of these positive factors it comes as no surprise that Austria will be represented by more than16 top-quality Austrian exhibitors from all sectors of the food & hospitality at Gulfood 2012. Our main focus this year includes Austria’s burgeoning food and industry sector, its highest quality control standards, Austria’s choicest exports (including gourmet food, organic produce etc.) and potential opportunities/expectations for Austrian entrepreneurs from the food and beverage industry in the Middle East, among others.”
Nikolaus Berlakovich, on the other hand, emphasized the growing importance given to organic produce by Austrian F&B sector. He said, “About 20% of Austrian F&B produce is organic. From milk and meat to fruit and vegetables, the European market has been demanding quality organic produce - and I am certain that the consumers in the Middle East will follow suit.”
