Vienna Economic Forum  held in Tirana

The Vienna Economic Forum, an activity organised in Tirana for the first time by the Foreign Investments Agency (Albinvest), held proceedings at Hotel Sheraton, with the participation of representatives of big companies from Austria, the Black Sea region countries, from Albania and other states.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha held the opening address at the two-day Forum. He was concentrated on the reforms launched by the government which have substantially improved the business climate.
"Albania is a small country but offers vast opportunities for international companies," Berisha said, pointing to the Albanian still unexploited coastline, the water resources, mineral assets and other opportunities.

The Vienna Economic Forum, with President former coordinator of the Stability Pact Dr. Erhard Busek, is considered a good opportunity to arouse the public and private interest in the region.
Members of the Forum are investors interested in contacting Albanian decision-makers, to carry out projects in Albania.
