Paarhammer creates modern homes in a bush fire prone hinterlands of Gold Coast

10 April 2018

With the help of Austrian products, the award winning company Paarhammer manufactures European style timber windows and doors in Australia. Their new project is in the Gold Coast hinterland, an area classified as the 'Bushfire Attack Level'.

Building in an area which is classified as having a high ‘Bushfire Attack Level’ or BAL rating can be complex since the building regulations changed after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires. This house is situated in the Gold Coast hinterland and features natural bush on 3 sides and spectacular views. Of course, the owners did not want to use fire shutters to get in the way of their views, so they found Paarhammer windows and doors, tested and approved for even the highest BAL ratings for use without shutters.

Austrian products used by Paarhammer in this just completed project include Adler paint and Ramsauer silicones, and the windows and doors were made with machinery from Felder and Schoeberl, tooling from Leitz and hardware from Schachermayer.

Paarhammer are very passionate about their highly energy efficient and bushfire safe products which can be found in numerous commercial and residential applications all around Australia.
