"Advancements in Nanotechnology": Evening Forum on 22 February 2017, University of Sydney

31 January 2017

Join us for an engaging evening of short lectures on Advancements in Nanotechnology - Industrial Application in Energy Storage and Cyber Security

Ever wondered about the fascinating, complex field of nanotechnology? Find out more during an evening event co-hosted by the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Australian Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology (AINST) at its recently opened flagship building, Sydney Nanoscience Hub (SNH) at the University of Sydney.

Two fields have been selected to demonstrate its relevance to industry: methods of energy storage; and the race to build the first quantum computer (along with its impact on cyber security).

Join us for presentations and a Q&A, to learn how AINST engages with industry to make futuristic technology a reality. There will be an opportunity to network over refreshments and canapés, plus an optional tour through the state-of-the-art facilities at SNH. Please indicate your interest when registering for the event.

Speakers for the evening include H.E. Dr Anna Prinz, German Ambassador to Australia, Prof Thomas Maschmeyer, Director AINST, USyd, Prof Simon Ringer, Director Sydney Nanoscience Hub, USyd and Prof David Reilly, Director Quantum Nanoscience Laboratory, USyd.

  • WHEN: Wednesday, 22 February 2017, 5 - 8 pm (Registration from 5 pm, Presentation + Q&A 5.30 pm, Tour & Networking 7 pm)
