Rosenbauer, the global market leader in special-purpose vehicles for airports and industry, acquires major orders in France and Saudi Arabia.

With around 2,000 staff and a broad range of fire-fighting vehicles and specialised fire-brigade equipment, Rosenbauer is represented in over 100 countries. In 2009 the company generated turnover exceeding EUR 541 million. The outstanding company from Leonding, Upper Austria, is right on track even in these challenging times.

Rosenbauer will deliver up to 20 PANTHER 8x8 fire-fighting vehicles to the French group Aéroports de Paris – one of Europe’s largest airport operators. The multi-year frame agreement has an order value of around EUR 30 million including the optional extension. With this, the Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports will be equipped with top-of-the-range airport fire engines.

This is not all, Rosenbauer has also enjoyed success on other continents. The Saudi Arabia Interior Ministry has commissioned Rosenbauer to supply 140 tank fire-fighters worth around EUR 34m. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has put its trust in the quality of Rosenbauer’s products for years: in recent years the company has delivered over 1,500 vehicles to various clients in Saudi Arabia.
