Austrian offshore cranes for Danish oil and gas

Austrian company Palfinger was awarded a contract for delivering two offshore cranes to Hejre field

The Austrian company Palfinger Dreggen has concluded contracts (value ~ 90 mio. Euro) about 28 offshore cranes for Jurong Shipyard, Singapore and two offshore cranes for the Danish gas and oil field Hejre .

Palfinger Dreggen will in cooperation with the French engineering and construction company Technip deliver two complex cranes for offshore operations to a new platform in the Danish Hejre field. This oil and gas field lies 300 km away from the Danish coast in a pivotal position in the North Sea.

The operator of the Hejre field is the Danish energy company DONG Energy , holding 60 percent interest in the field, whereas Bayerngas Norge holds 40 percent. According to Offshore Technology , both DONG Energy and Bayerngas Norge invest around 1.2 billion Euro in the development of Hejre field.
