Sunkid Conveyor Belts from Tyrol for CopenHill

12. June 2020

500 meters of skiing slope and three Sunkid conveyor belts on the roof of the Amager Ressource Center garbage incineration plant.

With its highest peak just falling short of 171m, Denmark was not known for its skiing slopes. Then CopenHill opened – Probably the most extraordinary skiing slope in the world. The roof of the new garbage incineration plant Amager Bakke in Copenhagen was converted into a unique local relaxation area and sports centre, permitting year-round skiing. Three Sunkid conveyor belts and a platter lift transport the more than 300,000 annually expected visitors to a height of 85 m. The Tyrolean company Sunkid , a globally leading year‑round provider of leisure activities, not only supplied the conveyor belts but also essentially contributed to planning the conveyor solutions and the skiing slope, which must be the most extraordinary one in the world.
