Estonian Air to start flying to Vienna, Hannover in spring

The carrier Estonian Air will start operating flights on the Tallinn–Vienna and Tallinn–Hannover routes starting from spring 2012.

The route to Vienna will open on March 25 and the route to Hannover on April 2. Flights on both routes will take place six times a week.
"Vienna is a major transit hub that enables us to cover the Balkan and Southern Europe regions in the future. Austria, which is known for its attractive travel and tourism environments, is also worth visiting for ski and city breaks," Rauno Parras, commercial manager of Estonian Air, said through spokespeople.
Hannover meanwhile boasts a very good location geographically, being situated right in the middle of Germany. Also, the biggest operations hub of the German railway company Deutsche Bahn is is located in Hannover. "With good connections by Deutsche Bahn from Hannover, customers can get to major cities in Germany and surrounding countries within a transit time frame of two hours. Tickets to Deutsche Bahn's attractive rail network can be bought from major travel agents together with Estonian Air tickets," Parras said.
Estonian Air will serve the routes with 88-seat Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. The flight duration on the Tallinn-Vienna route is two hours and 10 minutes and on the Tallinn-Hanover route one hour and 55 minutes.
