8. May 2017

A multi-sector Austrian business delegation organised by the Austrian Embassy – Commercial Section (ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Cairo) arrived in Cairo on Sunday, May 7th staying for four days meeting with Egyptian officials and businessmen. Leading Austrian manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, technology and services are taking part in the delegation.

Excited about the opportunities for new business in Egypt, the Commercial Counsellor at the Austrian Embassy, Martin Woller said: “Austrian companies are well known for the quality products and services as well as for their flexibility in securing business success for all parties involved. As such Egypt and Austria are a perfect match. The interest from Austrian companies in exploring the opportunities in Egypt remains high and now is the time for them to work in partnership with Egyptian companies to develop the country’s economy.”

The group comprises of 6 companies and focuses on infrastructure (architectural steel construction; Geographic Information System (GIS) based software solutions, consulting solutions), environmental technology (water, waste water, waste, composting), industry (industrial valves and supplies to the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors as well as all types of power plants) and renewable energy (photovoltaic systems).

The purpose of the Austrian business delegation visit to Egypt is to discuss the cooperation potential and to build business relations with local companies, as well as expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between Egypt and Austria. “Business missions like that will increase the Egyptian-Austrian partnership, which already profits from some of the best known Austrian companies being on ground in order to strengthen the Egyptian economy”, Woller is convinced.
