Generic teams up with Williams F1

29. April 2008

Austrian motorcyle producer Generic has joined forces with Williams F1  to produce a limited edition motorcyle and scooter in the British team's colours of blue, white and silver. The XOR AT&T Williams was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last month.

Generic has announced the release of a special edition Williams F1 motorcylcle and scooter, the XOR AT&T Williams.

Production of these 50cc and 125cc models will be strictly limited to 1,500 units. The special edition XOR is destined primarily for the European market, where 80 per cent of the motorcycles have already been pre-ordered.

According to Generic’s CEO, Michael Kirschenhofer, the three-year licensing deal with AT&T Williams is just one of a number of projects the two companies have in the pipeline.

About Generic

GENERIC was founded as a new, innovative designer brand in the scooter market at the end of 2004. In its very first year, the Austrian manufacturer managed to establish a position for the brand in the market with its creative edge.

Quality and design at fair prices. That is the motto to which GENERIC has committed itself and from which this Austrian company will continue to profit in the future.

GENERIC is putting an end to the lack of innovation and providing a refreshing wind of change in the scooter market. The bold and innovative design of GENERIC products is provided by the internationally renowned Salzburg design agency Kiska. Their recipe for success also includes European technical expertise and strict quality management for the best price/performance ratio on the market.

Following years of analysis, GENERIC established a production site in the Asia-Pacific region which is routinely able to supply the customer with distinctive products which feature unique equipment. The exclusive use of the highest quality materials is just one indication of GENERIC's eye for detail. GENERIC will also take advantage manufacturing its own products to generate short product life cycles and so keep the scooter market active.

In the next few years, GENERIC would like to become a leader in its sector and use its innovative product ideas, strict quality management, technical expertise and fair price/performance ratio to achieve a reputable position among the largest manufacturers in the world. But that is just the beginning - GENERIC is going to shake up the market!
