Bene successful in the UK

16. September 2009

Despite the difficult economic environment, Austrian office furniture specialist Bene has acquired three major orders during the summer months in the UK to the value of £2.5 million.

Bene, the Austrian full-range supplier for office and working environments will furnish the British branch of Gallaher UK, the biopharmaceutical company Shire Pharmaceuticals and Nottingham Trent University with high-quality products. The total order value amounts to approx. £2.5 million.

The Gallaher UK branch, belonging to the Japan Tobacco International (JTI), has recently finalised the renovation of its office buildings near London. Since 2007, Gallaher has been part of the JTI-Group, which is considered as one of the largest global industrial enterprises. The plant in the UK produces various tobacco goods. Now, after the completion of the renovation, Bene will refurnish all office buildings with high-quality office furniture and thus will re-equip 400 workstations in total. Beyond that, the order also includes solutions for the meeting rooms and the cafeteria.

Also Shire Pharmaceuticals, one of the worldwide leading biopharmaceutical companies has decided in favour of Bene office solutions in the annex building of its UK-headquarters. In addition to ultra-modern equipment for 200 workstations, the order also includes the design of the so-called intermediate areas, which as informal communication zones represent an important part of the working culture.

Bene likewise scored in the university business: Lately, Nottingham Trent University has modernised two of its Business School buildings. In close cooperation with the architect, Bene will supply the complete high-class office furniture equipment including dividing walls for 350 workstations.
