Vintra Wine Tours

29. January 2010

Vintra™ First Class Holidays, the Austrian specialist for 'Wine and Dine' tours, is organising a 'Wine and Music' tour of the Burgenland wine region in eastern Austria.

If you love Austrian wine, why not join Vintra Tour's latest 'wine & music' holiday to the picturesque region of Burgenland!

Burgenland is the eastern-most state of Austria. In this region we find the Neusiedler Lake as well as the capital, Eisenstadt. Here, in the centre of town, is the grand family seat of the Esterhazy family, Schloss Esterhazy, where the renowned composer, Joseph Haydn, worked as chapel master. Next to an amazing flora and fhauna we discover highlights like the Frauenkirchen Basilica or the natural sanctuary Lange Lacke.

“Café Mozart”, the Chamber Music Ensemble, will provide music throughout the trip. The ensemble performs music from the late 18th century. Increasingly their focus is on Haydn and his English associates in the 1790s. Enjoy music “Haydn and the Earl of Abingdon” in the home country of Haydn.

The trip will also include a sightseeing tour of Vienna.

Around the shores of this shallow lake ripens an extensive variety of grapes for white, red and sweet wines. The hot, dry summers and cold winters here serve the ideal conditions for a long ripening period. Wine lovers discover dry, fresh wines, as well as those that are concentrated and aromatic, plus some of the most famous sweet wines in the world.
