PA to the Managing Director / Office Manager

Position summary

We are seeking an experienced personal assistant who will manage all executive-level administrative responsibilities for the Managing director and London office. Responsibilities include coordinating all sales financial, operational and management reporting and communication, as well as key management metric monitoring. This position is required to work with highly sensitive and confidential business and staff information, and works closely with other voestalpine offices and their managers.


  • Assisting the Managing Director in all administrative and organizational tasks
  • Preparation of the yearly budget and monthly internal financial reports alongside the Managing Director
  • Preparation of monthly accounts and quarterly statements
  • Office Management (travel management, facility management, event co-ordination, management of post and office supplies, IT)
  • Preparation, negotiation and processing of contracts (utilities, insurance, etc.)


  • BA/BS or equivalent experience 
  • At least 3 years’ experience
  • PA professionals with the following characteristics and skills:
    • Technologically savvy, highly proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP- crucial
    • Experience in accounting and finance
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Intellectually curious with a problem solving attitude
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities with high energy
    • Able to analyze data effectively and efficiently
    • Sound business management skills
    • Fluent in both English and German

Sales Manager

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for strip and flat steel sales in the construction and automotive industry. Your strategical focus will be developing and executing the sales strategy across the UK market; with an emphasis on acquiring new customers and identifying growth areas. Also, retaining and growing voestalpine’s valuable corporate relationships. High energy and enthusiasm is a must.  


  • Develop new business in the house industry and processing industry and meet sales goals
  • Identify networking opportunities to acquire new customers
  • Participate in trade fairs and congresses in order to maintain / improve our level of market competitiveness through constant industry contact
  • Implement product/customer/market strategies for flat carbon steel products and ability to produce offers, pricing and contracts
  • Customer Relationship Management: cultivate, optimize and extend relationships with customers including the identification of cross-selling opportunities
  • Supply Chain Management: monitor KPIs


  • Experience in the steel industry is vital; with a clear understanding about steel products and market knowledge
  • Experience in B2B business (Sales, Purchasing, etc.) at least 4-5 year’s
  • BA/BS- Master’s considered plus
  • Enthusiasm for a demanding industrial product and technical understanding
  • A strong team player who enjoys the art of sales coupled with a relentless hunter mentality
  • An already established network within the industry is preferred  
  • Self-confident, positive, extrovert personality
  • Outstanding communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
  • Fluent in English- German considered a plus
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients (30%)
  • Technologically savvy, highly proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
