IT-based solutions and services for Crossrail

Geodata Group from Austria was selected to provide instrumentation, monitoring and surveying services for Crossrail construction in London.

International supplier of IT-based solutions and services for underground engineering, Geodata will be helping with Europe’s largest rail construction project. The new railway will run through central London (West-East) from Maidenhead and Heathrow via Paddington, Bond Street and Liverpool Street to Shenfield, and via Canary Wharf to Woolwich ending at Abbey Wood.

Geodata is providing geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring systems, analysis software and monitoring database system for C430 Farringdon Station Advanced Works and tunnel surveying systems and software and setting out and site control services for C410 Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road project. The monitoring consists of 3D deformation surveys of existing structures and geotechnical sensors to observe movement of the ground. The system is up and running 24/7 in order to provide real time data to the engineers, which is essential for the efficient and safe completion of the project.

Through the targeted use of measurement technologies Geodata is able to capture physical, geometric and spatial data and their variation over time, efficiently transform the data into meaningful and directly applicable information and has successfully completed more than 500 projects worldwide since 1987.
