"Regional Cooperation - Challenges and Chances 20 Years after the fall of the Iron Curtain". This is the topic at the heart of the 6th Vienna Economic Forum, to be held from 9th to 10th November.

The Vienna Economic Forum was founded in 2004 with the goal of promoting economic cooperation between countries from the Adriatic to the Black Sea. The partner countries are Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine. The President of the Vienna Economic Forum is Austria's former Vice Chancellor, Erhard Busek, who is also the Special Coordinator of the stability pact for South Eastern Europe.

The topic of this year's forum, which will be held in Vienna for the sixth time, is entitled “Go South-East - Regional Cooperation - Challenges and Chances 20 Years after the fall of the Iron Curtain". It should highlight investment opportunities in the region, give impetus to important communal projects and find ways to realise these in the medium to long term. Prominent representatives from politics and the economy from each of the participating countries will present their view of the region.

More information on the programme and registration details for the event can be found on the forum's website: .
